Life, reading, music, dancing, fashion, movies, and being me!

Prabal Gurung red dress

Well, Fashion Weeks have ended in the ‘big 4’:  NYC, London, Paris, and Milan.  If you follow fashion designers, fashion brands, fashion magazines and/or fashion bloggers, you’ve been able to see many of these creations.

Attending a show has eluded me thus far, however, I will share some links to my favorite collections.

From the L.A. Times blog, it includes one of my faves, Prabal Gurung and that gorgeous red dress and those insane tights!!

Another favorite of mine is L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani.  Love the eclectic colors and prints.  She looked great, especially when joined onstage by her sons.  Music and fashion work together so well.

Here is a great link from InStyle magazine for the four major Fashion Weeks in New York City, London, Paris, and Milan; it’s a great website for the latest fashion trends and celebrity styles!

The clothes and styles are INSANE!!   All the work that goes into a 15-20 minute runway show, months of preparation, design, planning, and more.  After the show, it’s finding out the reviews, whether buyers are making orders to purchase any or all of your line, which celebrities are wearing your designs to premieres, red-carpets events or just out-and-about where paparazzi can photograph them.

Fashion designing looks so glamorous from where I view it.  It takes hard work and a team of designers, seamstresses, tailors, manufacturers, and more to create and complete a line that is to be sold.  For up and coming designers, the field is full and new fashion designers (celebrities or not) are adding lines frequently.

Have you ever been to a fashion show during Fashion Week?  Was it a fashion designer that you wanted to see or just a work thing you had to do?  Was it as exciting and glamorous as it seems?
